Take a ride with us through the desert in October! San Diego, CA (NetSweets) Aug 18, 2008 -- One of the more beautiful months in the desert to ride on a bicycle would be October and what better a place than Borrego Springs, California. As a rider, you will witness the most amazing sunrise, metamorphosizing into the more radiant desert sun filled day with little wind. Reminds you that you need to get out there? Come on by and come for a ride…a Shadow Tour century ride. The bike ride offers distances of a 17, 28, 45, 55, 82 and 100 mile course. There are 6 rest stops that offer seriously a buffet on wheels from gels, bananas, salt tabs, peanut butter jelly sandwiches, red vines, to advil, sunscreen, first aid, and hand sanitizer. The lunch that is prepared has even more options from catered roast beef, ham and to chicken sandwiches. But it’s the party at the end that we all end up really attending these rides for. Shadow Tour is serving a soiree of Mississippi Barbeque chicken, rolls and meat, Hickery smoked beans, Potato Chips, Cookies, along with music, DJ and festivities at Christmas Circle…we could go on and on about the food and party, but how about the ride you ask? All riders have the choice in distances, a choice in the Ultimate 100 mile 4 person Team Trial Challenge, Cue sheets for all distances, Brightroom photography services, dedicated law enforcement, Tom Cody’s Bike Mobile roving support van, Free parking, Rider goodie bag, Full century finishers names posted online, Tandem Team Time Trial and the Yaqui Pass climb in the 1st lap.
